Job Description:

We are launching our last-mile delivery network in Austria and are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to build and lead our on-ground operations, network expansion, and partner ecosystem. This individual will play a critical role in building the last-mile delivery network with a strong focus on operational, local partner acquisition, and resource alignment. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the local last-mile ecosystem and a wide network of DSPs (Delivery Service Providers), couriers, and relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of Austria’s last-mile delivery market and operational landscape
  

  
  

• Lead end-to-end last-mile operations, including couriers, lockers, and 3PL partners
  

  
  

• Build and continuously optimize the national address database, route planning models, and delivery standards
  

  
  

• Monitor and manage daily operational KPIs (SLA, success rate, cost-per-parcel, network efficiency)
  

  
  

• Lead operational launch activities, pilot programs, SOP development, and continuous improvement initiatives
  

  
  

• Oversee vendor/3PL performance and ensure consistent service quality and compliance
  

  
  

• Collaborate closely with IT, Product, and HQ teams to enhance system performance and operational digitalization
  

  
  

• Ensure compliance with Austrian postal regulations, data protection requirements, and labor standards
  

  
  

• Evaluate, recommend, and support setup of key operational infrastructure (CDC, hubs, drop-off points, lockers, etc.)
  

  
  

• Work closely with regional Eastern Europe leadership teams to align with the overall market expansion roadmap
  

  
  

• Support legal, commercial, and regulatory processes where operational input is required
  

  
  

• Provide hands-on operational guidance and on-site support throughout the ramp-up and scale-up phases
  

  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• 10 years of management experience in logistics and 5 years of  last-mile delivery experience in Austria
