THE ROLE

The FlashArray team builds the industry’s most innovative, high-performance, and highly available portfolio of products that are designed for the most demanding mission-critical applications. While we deliver a hardware storage array, over 90% of our engineering staff are software engineers. Our customers are the most important part of our business, and they love FlashArray for its simplicity of management, the constant flow of new and exciting upgrades, and the ability to live on the cutting edge of technology while never taking downtime, ever. 

Every FlashArray is equipped with containerized edge services, facilitating cloud-level connectivity, management, and promoting feature extensibility.

We are looking for a candidate with a unique blend of Software Engineering and Linux System Administration experience. They will take on the challenge of integrating edge services to FlashArray products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Analyze and solve challenging problems through persistence and insight.
• Design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems (think six 9’s).
• Own and deliver innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped product.
• Work as a team with smart peers who inspire you and who are inspired by you.
• Make customers really happy, because that’s why we do what we do.
• Learn a ton, whether you know a lot, or nothing about system software.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Experience in full lifecycle software application development, from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang, developing on Linux/UNIX platforms.
• Strong understanding of container technologies following Open Container Initiative (OCI) standards (e.g., Docker, Podman) and backend systems designed for high load and high availability.
• Ability to perform software analysis across requirements, system reviews, risk assessment, performance optimization, and production reliability.
• Familiarity withautomated testing and continuous improvement of code quality.
• A collaborative mindset with natural curiosity, design sensibility, and commitment to team-oriented problem-solving.
