Our client, an eCommerce logistics and last mile delivery expert, is searching for an International Logistics Coordinator to join their project in Hungary.

Purpose of the role: 

To manage and coordinate the import and export of goods, linehaul transportation management, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and optimizing logistics processes.

Responsibilities: 

Coordinating International Shipments:

• You’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating the shipment of goods internationally. This involves liaising with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers to ensure smooth and timely delivery.

  
  

Preparing and Submitting Customs Documentation:

• One of your key tasks will be to prepare and submit all necessary customs documentation for international shipments on TMS.

  
  

• This includes ensuring compliance with customs regulations and accurately completing forms such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.

  
  

Monitoring Customs Clearance Documentation:

• You’ll need to monitor the progress of customs clearance for shipments. This involves verifying that all required documentation is correct and complete, and addressing any issues that may arise during the customs clearance process.

  
  

Analyzing Shipping Data:

• You’ll analyze shipping data and logistics processes to identify opportunities for optimizing shipping routes, reducing costs, and improving efficiency. This may involve using logistics software and tools to track shipments and gather data for analysis.

  
  

Ensuring Goods are Insured and Managing Claims:

• It’s crucial to ensure that goods are properly insured during transit. You’ll manage insurance policies related to international shipments and handle any insurance claims that may arise due to loss or damage during transport.

  
  

Compliance and Risk Management:

• You’ll need to stay updated on international trade regulations and ensure compliance with import/export laws and sanctions.

  
  

• Additionally, managing risks related to international shipments, such as security and compliance risks, is part of your role.

  
  

Communication and Coordination:

• Effective communication is essential as you’ll need to coordinate with various stakeholders including suppliers, customers, customs authorities, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations throughout the shipping process.

  
  

Continuous Improvement:

• Actively seeking opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency in international logistics operations is a key aspect of the role. This may involve implementing new logistics strategies or technologies to streamline operations.

  
  

Qualifications: 

• 2-3 years of experience in international logistics and managing domestic linehaul transportation.

  
  

• Knowledge of trade regulations and customs procedures.

  
  

• Experience in logistics operations.

  
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  
  

• Good communication skills.

  
  

• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  
  

• Fluency in Hungarian and English.
