Qualifications:
CPL (Commercial Pilot License) Holder
Retired/Experienced ATCOs from Navy or Air Force are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory. (For Cpl)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Tower Control Operations:
Manage and coordinate the safe and efficient movement of aircraft within the aerodrome traffic zone.
Provide air traffic services to ensure optimal sequencing and separation of aircraft during take-off, landing, and taxiing.
Issue clearances and instructions to pilots to ensure compliance with procedural guidelines.
2. Procedural Control:
Manage FTO air traffic using established procedural separation standards in the absence of radar coverage.
Monitor and communicate with en-route and terminal area flights to ensure smooth air traffic flow.
3. Coordination with Agencies:
Liaise with CNS, ARFF, Electrical, and other operational agencies for smooth aerodrome functioning.
Coordinate with adjacent Air Traffic Control Units for safe airspace management.
4. Safety and Emergency Management:
Provide timely traffic information to prevent collisions and ensure safe airspace operations.
Take immediate action during emergencies, including aircraft accidents or malfunctions, by coordinating with ARFF and relevant authorities.
5. Inspections and Reporting:
Conduct regular runway and taxiway inspections to ensure operational readiness.
Report incidents/accidents, system failures, and operational inefficiencies promptly to the respective departments for resolution.
6. Training and Supervision:
Support efficient flying training programs by coordinating traffic movement.
Supervise and assist in air traffic training sessions when required.
7. Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate logs of all flights operating within the controlled airspace.
Assist in updating operational manuals and contingency plans.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.
