How will you make an impact in this role?


The Colleague Services organization within the Colleague Experience Group (CEG - also known as Human Resources) at American Express plays a critical role in providing the outstanding services, capabilities, data, and insights that enable a great colleague experience. We build, run, and evolve the incredible platforms, products and services that enable colleagues to do their best work every single day.


This role will report to the Manager, Colleague Insights within Colleague Services. As part of this team, you will manage integrations, reporting, and support and implementation for Oracle HCM Cloud and boundary systems within American Express. You will provide in-depth expertise to build new integrations and reports, along with the support and uplift of existing ones. You will partner with HR operations, product, and Technology engineering to unlock the full potential of our HR systems.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • HCM Systems Ownership: Developing Custom Reports and Analytics using Oracle HCM Cloud Reporting tools and technologies i.e. BI Publisher, SQL, OTBI, Dashboards from start to finish, including reviewing requests, setting priorities, tracking progress and closing requests when complete.
  • Requirements & Solution Delivery: Act as a Senior Developer by identifying process improvement areas in modules like Core HR, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Talent, Oracle Learning cloud (OLC) translating needs into functional specifications, and partnering with cross-functional teams to design, validate, test, and deploy easy, usable and effective reports.
  • POC for Custom BIP Reporting: Act as the main point of contact between data requestors, reporting and analytic teams, data enablement partners, and governance teams to ensure clarity on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot & Incident Management: Investigate, Troubleshoot and resolve Technical issues related to Oracle HCM Core HR, ORC and Special Access Reports in partnership with Application Team and generate solutions which may include systems modifications enhancements or new procedures.
  • Process Optimization & Automation: Identify and prioritize opportunities to streamline reporting across Payroll, Compensation, TA, Risk and Compliance Teams and reduce manual effort through automation, bring efficiency in servicing and improve colleague experience.
  • Program & Stakeholder Management: Own and continuously enhance HCM Reporting Suite, with primary accountability for Core HR, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Talent, Oracle Learning cloud (OLC) ensuring platforms to deliver a simplified, integrated, and self-serviceable reports and solution
  • Education and Development: Cross-Train, learn and develop with other team members on the existing tools’ functionality. Staying up to date with the latest Oracle HCM Cloud releases, updates, and features. Collaborate with other CEG teams, Technology and other partners supporting roadmaps and looking for process improvements with our Oracle HCM products.
  • Change Leadership: Support adoption and sustained use of system capabilities by enabling stakeholders to anticipate, embrace, and lead change. Identify and analyze operational and systems issues and opportunities and produce effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications


·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/B.Tech/ BCA (e.g. Computer Science or other Technical Degrees).


·2-4 years of working experience in the Reports & Analytics Industry and have good knowledge of Oracle SQL,BIP, OTBI Reporting and related programming skills.


·Proficient in writing SQL queries, functions from scratch basis the business requirements.


·Have strong knowledge of the templates for developing the reports like Excel Template, RTF template.


·Hands-on familiarity with Oracle HCM Cloud Tools i.e. BI Publisher, SQL, HCM Extracts, OTBI etc. with exposure on specific modules like Core HR, ORC (Oracle Recruiting Cloud), OLC (Learning Cloud), Career and Performance etc.


·Experience on HCM Data Loaders, Load error Analysis, Data Validation, HCM Extracts, Integrations, Fast Formula will be preferred.


·Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate between various technical and non-technical audiences


·Excellent planning and organizations skills including ability to manage inter-dependencies and execute under stringent timelines


·Proactive learner with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and techniques with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications


·Masters Degree in Computer Science/MBA/M.Tech (e.g. Science, Engineering, Management)


·Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle HCM tool across various modules for performing Reporting and Analytics tasks


·Good knowledge of Report Development Life Cycle Process including Design, development, unit testing, technical design and implementation of Project


·Demonstrated ability to work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with capabilities, decision sciences, technology teams and external vendors to deliver solutions at top speed.


·Should be a quick learner possessing learning mindset along with ability to lead projects/tasks independently.


·Should be Flexible and adapt quickly to new working environments.
