Assembly operator

A. ROLE & CONTEXT

Purpose:

Assembly of various machine & executing production orders with required materials & tools with regards to set efficiency targets

Context:

Production activities with set process guidelines, technical specifications, Quality standards & maintain shop floor discipline

B. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Overview

• Prime responsibility to setup the assembly shop and assembled the parts as per design/drawing.
• Able to read Assembly drawing/blueprints of machine, tooling instructions and controller.
• Follow the standard procedure for assembly sequence.
• Prepare the procedure for new assembly.
• Assembly plan layout to be made with time calculation.
• All small and subassembly are to be assembled at shop floor.
• Should have good knowledge of Piping/Tubing work required for Hydraulic or Pneumatic line on 3D bending machine and knowledge of pipe bending process.
• Perform dimensional & visual inspections of cut parts & self-verifications with design specs.
• Performing general maintenance activities like, Lubrication, Cleaning of tools tackles,

Maintain shop floor and shop items/material.

• Loading / Unloading of material on shop floor, able to handle rework/repairing of any items received with Non-conformance.
• Operate precision measuring / testing instruments (two/three-dimensional precision measuring)
• Drawing reading, Understand & assess the models & symbolic language of GD&T system indicating

engineering tolerances.

• Maintaining equipment's compliant with respect to HSE guidelines.
• Facing machine/shop audits and making adjustments for improvements
• Loss time data capturing and recording Verses available time _ Production reporting. 
• Continuous productivity/efficiency improvements initiatives
• Close co-ordination with Team leader, Quality & Shipping team.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required by the project / business
• Adhering to company’s Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) procedures
• Adhering to company’s Values, Business principles and Code of conduct
