Excel as a ssistant Vice President - Change Strategy & Automation acting as escalation point of contact and ensure timely and appropriate escalation of actual/ potential delays and issues with the Supervisors and Mgmt.
Job Summary:
- The role calls for a highly motivated individual, preferably with a Fund Services operations background, effective problem solving and communication skills.
- As a Global Fund Services - Change Strategy Team - Associate in Fund Services you will be given responsibility for delivering high profile project management and data automation change assignments on behalf of the business. You will manage your own project book while being a part of a team of driven individuals.
- Responsible for Business Analysis and project management for multiple services within JPMC Fund Services business. e.g. Fund accounting, Transfer Agent, Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, Static Data , Trades , COAC & Income.
- The role involves detailed analysis of business processes in order to identify difference in operating model along with tactical and strategic solution productivity opportunities, in order to make the process cost effective and efficient.
Job Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Fund Accounting functions to study existing processes, systems and capabilities with ability
- Draw process flow and possess understanding of Fund Services - Fund Accounting (primary), Reporting, Performance and Compliance functions (secondary)
- Understand financial aspects of balance sheets, accounting, tax, client adjustments
- Understand the impact of a variety of client fund structures in the context of system static data setup.
- Lead reviews of functional processes across the GFSO organization to reduce overall operational risk and build a more robust end-to-end process - get to the bottom of ‘why’, answer the ‘so what’, and utilize creative problem-solving.
- Develop and leverage a digitalization skillset and a data-centric mindset to identify and execute process improvement.
- Create outstanding visual and verbal stories to help articulate this journey
- Identify process gaps and make recommendations on how to address identified gaps, as well as implications for team structure, location strategy, functional alignment.
- Build strong partnerships with Operations, Product and Technology teams to lead, design and deliver high-quality solutions
- Engage with stakeholders using strong interpersonal and influencing skills to challenge the process.
- Run a book of work; own and project manage key deliverables, working to tight deadlines and leading projects from initiation to conclusion
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum 7 year experience in fund services business
- A commitment to excellence and attention to detail with the ability to align those details to the big picture strategy
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly communicate complex issues to audiences
- Proactive mindset, self-motivated and able to work with higher degree of independence
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Sound knowledge of intelligent automation toolkit: Alteryx, Tableau, UiPath, Xceptor
- Strong knowledge of signavio, process flow & diagrams and ability to show bottlenecks and comparative analysis
- Capability of presenting to an Executive Director level audience will be expected
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in working in a project management team is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Fund Accounting would be an advantage
- A track record of delivering multiple projects
