Overall Responsibilities
Automation Testing:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
- Create and maintain automation frameworks to enhance test coverage and execution efficiency.
Testing Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies for various applications.
- Identify areas for automation and define best practices for automation testing processes.
Integration with Calypso:
- Utilize Calypso for testing financial applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within the application ecosystem.
- Conduct testing related to trade life cycle management, risk assessment, and compliance features within the Calypso platform.
Defect Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed reports on testing outcomes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to process improvements within the testing lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation testing tools and methodologies.
Category-wise Technical Skills
- Automation Testing Proficiency: Strong expertise in automation testing methodologies and best practices.
- Selenium Experience: Hands-on experience with Selenium, including the creation of test scripts and framework development.
- Calypso Exposure: Familiarity with Calypso or similar financial applications, particularly in the context of quality assurance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
- Experience with test management tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Proven ability to work in complex testing environments, particularly within financial services.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium based on project requirements.
- Review and analyze system specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with developers to understand application functionality and gather requirements for testing.
- Maintain and update existing automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Regularly report on testing progress and outcomes, including defect tracking and resolution.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss testing strategies, challenges, and improvements.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex issues swiftly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear updates and collaborate effectively with team members.
