Business Operations Associate - Kalypso

Business Operations Associate


Kalypso is seeking an exceptional candidate who is looking for an exciting career in business helping to drive financial results in conjunction with our business leaders by managing overall project performance, visibility to key operational measures and overall business portfolio analysis through regular reporting and analysis. This role will act as key team member to the business segment leader by providing critical business insights and reporting to drive decision making. They will also ensure integrity across financial and operational data to drive accuracy. 


The Business Operations Associate will report to the Global Strategic Finance Lead with strong interaction with the Business Segment Lead and other stakeholders.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a professional environment, thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative workplace, and take ownership of their work with superb attention to detail. This role requires an individual who is extremely thorough and organized, with strong Excel skills.  We are looking for someone with high energy who is willing to dig in, problem solve, and analyze large sets of data.  This role is full-time and is 90% remote with up to 10% travel. 


Responsibilities:


Business segment reporting / analysis:


  • Weekly review and analysis of consulting projects.
  • Manage weekly pipeline review.
  • Monthly business segment portfolio trend analysis.
  • Develop relationships with senior delivery leaders to help identify and escalate project issues.
  • Support annual bottoms-up planning analysis and forecasting.
  • Oversee project wrap-up checklists.
  • Act as liaison to business unit talent lead to help forecast staffing needs.
  • Support quality and risk management of projects.
  • Contribute to knowledge management process.
  • Provide quarterly updates on business segment financial performance to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial, commercial, and project activity.

Data hygiene and management:


  • Systems in use:
    • NetSuite OpenAir
    • Zoho CRM
    • WorkDay
  • Oversee pipeline and project data validation.
  • Drive development of streamlined reporting leveraging PowerBI

Basic Qualifications:


  • BS degree in Business, Finance, or other Innovation-relevant discipline
  • 2-3 years of experience with finance reporting and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in an FP&A role
  • Experience working in a professional service firm.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships in a team environment.
  • Situational leadership - ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, external clients and business partners.
  • Superior organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and self-manage.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
