Key Accountabilities:
Develop & implement commodity strategies as assigned
Identify, plan and implement continuous cost improvement opportunities within supply chain to achieve best practises with optimum costs.
Maintain a worldwide supply base of competitive and innovative companies
Drive total cost reductions across the entire supply chain in managing cost out opportunities
Foster & Develop relationship with suppliers, Develop tentative cost model for the commodities
Follow strategy to develop parts 'Right first time' for Quality, Costs and Delivery
Analyse supplier capacity and improve it.
Manage the company's assets at the suppliers, Provide support for purchasing at MTU FN
Participates in benchmarking & improving purchasing systems and processes.
Strong negotiation and skill full outcome with optimum pricing with suppliers.
Proactive approach towards building global supply chain of parts.
Project Management - Data analysis, Track Metal Market and evaluate various commodities with regular interval, readily available for travel
Key Skills / Experience Required:
B.E/B. Tech (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Industrial) with MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Business Management.
Relevant years of Experience with 5 Years in Project System Business/PowerGen/Data Center/EPC
Good knowledge of MS Office(all three MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
Experience in Sourcing / Purchasing as a Function. Expertise in Project Procurement.
Experience in Sourcing of Diesel Engine parts, sourcing Train Components, All types of Bearings, Aluminium Castings
Experience in purchasing, procurement & supply chain management especially in Project purchasing. Material procurement. Candidate who have experience with EPC contractor /data center project will be preferred.
Lead/coordinate negotiation of all major project purchases in all commodities, utilizing available department resources as assigned by supervisor and working within business-unit, divisional, regional & global supplier agreements.
Drive cost reduction, Negotiate changes between contract and actual project needs.
Supplier Evaluation and Tracking - Ensure that supplier is prepared for production, including all needed system updates.
Project Experience in Pre-Bid & Execution; Keeping up to date on progress and reviewing performance updates from Suppliers/vendor.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, APQP and PPAP
Stakeholder management, Agile way of working, Timely and effective deliverables in Projects.
Experience in manufacturing process, sheet metal, control panels, acoustic enclosure, acoustic materials.
Cost Analysis and Provide Data Analytics to the project team for the decision-making process.
Should have Deeper Knowledge of Metal index, Labor index and other Parameters which drive the cost of the product.
Assess purchase timing and risk management to ensure schedule and cost targets are met
Conversant with technical requirements of Project System Business for Data Centers.
Good verbal & written communication, written and interpersonal skill, resourceful and team player.
