Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

We are looking for a senior CPU programmer with deep expertise in ARM ISA, assembly programming, and C++, to develop instruction generators, directed tests, and low-level workloads for CPU validation, performance, and debug.

What you’ll do
• Develop ARM assembly and C++ test code targeting core, pipeline, and system features
• Build and enhance ARM ISA instruction generators (random and directed)
• Create stress, corner-case, and ordering tests for CPU cores, memory system, and coherency
• Work closely with DV, Emulation, Post-Silicon, and Firmware teams to reproduce and isolate issues
• Enable coverage-driven validation through intelligent stimulus generation
• Debug failures using traces, counters, and architectural state analysis
• Contribute to ISA feature validation for new extensions and microarchitectural behaviors
What we’re looking for
• 8–15+ years of experience in ARM assembly programming and low-level C/C++
• Strong knowledge of ARM ISA (AArch64), privilege levels, exceptions, and memory ordering
• Experience building or extending instruction / random test generators
• Understanding of CPU pipelines, caches, coherency, and memory models
• Ability to reason across HW–SW boundaries and write highly targeted test content
Impact: Shape the quality, coverage, and robustness of CPU validation by creating the lowest-level, highest-leverage test stimulus for next-generation ARM CPUs.
