Role: Data Scientist
Location: Gurgaon/Mumbai/Bangalore
About the team:
Our data science team develops ML based data products or solutions to improve lending, Fraud, collections, Insurance and Investment products based on hundreds of millions of transactions in India. This role is with the PayU Innovations Data Science team with specific focus on Digital Insights from PayU Payments data for various use cases. PayU Payments data has emerged as a powerful source of information. Example use cases are:
1.Building an Underwriting model for NTC population for a bankingpartner
2.Building affluence scorecard for customer segmentation for marketing campaigns
3.Building ML models for risk, fraud, collections, Income estimation,etc.
4.Using GraphML to detect fraud and anamolies

What you’ll be doing:
·Lead and execute Data Science projects for building best-in-class models/solutions for various use cases across the BFSI Industry
·Work with various external partners starting from POC discussions till execution and with internal partners (e.g. Business teams, technology and platform teams) to understand, design and implement the best solutions.
·Opportunity to work on exceptional projects using cutting edge technology
What are we looking for?
·A degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or other similar quantitative field from a premier institute.
·Should have led Data Science projects and have at least 5 years of work experience as a Data scientist, preferably worked on credit risk scorecards, collections, fraud or other lending lifecycle use-cases
·Excellent stakeholder management skills – internal and external
·Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to function in a high-volume setting with tight deadlines
·Good experience in building machine learning models and should have experience in the following languages – Python, SQL. Familiar with cloud computing platforms like AWS, etc.
·Having experience in Pyspark and AutoML is a plus
·The incumbent must be a high-energy individual with a go-getter instinct and positive attitude.
·Should be a great teammate who promotes knowledge-sharing
