Job Description
Data Solutions and Subscriptions team is a part of Visa Data Science in CEMEA. In contrast to the general Data Science community, the VCA Solutions team mandate is to create scalable, reproduceable assets from VisaNet data that Consultants can use to address local clients’ challenges. Key focus of the team is also commercialization of all existing scalable assets (dashboards, Data Insight Feeds etc). For the upcoming year, we plan significantly increase the team’s portfolio of assets, scale subscription services, and support the ambitious business growth of VCA CEMEA.
Principle Responsibilities & Key Results Area
- Product ownership of existing solutions and data insights feeds:
- Development & Enhancement: Serve as a business owner proxy and liaise with internal and vendor-supported implantation squads, translating features into user stories withing a team’s backlog and managing prioritization so that it is reflective of stakeholder requirements and priorities.
- Manage all the steps of the lifecycle of the existing Solutions assets: pricing, trainings, Go-to-Market.
- Drive commercialization of solution and subscriptions
- Work closely with Data Engineering, DS teams and vendors - communicate the business stakeholders needs and ensure the development team delivers within established acceptance criteria, including expected quality and performance.
- Drive strong collaboration with VCA CEMEA Service Line Leads (Portfolio Management, Digital, Risk, Merchant & Acquiring, Commercial) – understanding the market landscape and demand, identification of potential opportunities for scalable solutions, collecting business requirements and supporting in market enablement and Go-to-Market.
- Work with Global Practice Leads to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other services and leverage global consulting solutions.
- Deliver and manage a network of external Vendor or agency partners.
- Maintain excellent relationship with vendor team at-large, supervising deliveries as needed.
- Assist in selecting, recruiting, inducting and onboarding of vendors
- Work with other teams and external consultants to develop new and improved tools and techniques for future Consulting activities.
- Manage the project budget and resources to perform all required duties.
- Liaise with VISA functional teams - Finance, Audit, Legal, Tax, Sourcing- to define and implement processes to optimize the daily engagement of vendors and the relationships with clients.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in applying solutions to business problems in analytics, business consulting, product ownership, or data science.
- Background in payments, financial institutions, consumer lending, risk management, portfolio management, corporate payments, retail and merchant business, or digital projects.
- Have a background or understanding of Data Analytics - Data Science
- Proven track record in commercializing analytical solutions.
- Experience in project management, including managing team and client expectations and deliverables.
- Agile experience is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills, capable of processing and summarizing large data sets into strategic insights.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on client sites across the CEMEA region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior consulting or product management experience
- Experience with a top-tier bank or financial services practice of a top-tier consulting firm, with a combination of regional and global experience.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Results-driven, flexible, and customer-focused.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, effective in interdisciplinary groups.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
