What’s the role?
Job Purpose: Lead improvement projects for CMMS Master Data across various units and locations, ensuring high-quality information and data through technical support and standardization. Act as primary data engineer and subject matter expert, analyzing technical data and documents with engineering, maintenance, and project teams.
Dimensions:
- Financial: Use ERP systems like SAP/MAXIMO/PACER to ensure safe, reliable maintenance and reduce costs.
- Business: Collaborate with team leads and engineers on CMMS and technical data across units.
Principal Accountabilities
- Assure that managed technical data/ERP data and documents of assigned operating units, manufacturing site, chemical plant, supply chain and distribution location are free of data defects, in accordance to Controls and Standards and within the limits of Key Performance Indicators.
- Management of Maintenance Asset Hierarchy in ERP (Location/Equipment/Assembly)
- Configure Bills of Material/Quantity in ERP
- Knowledge in reviewing Engineering Drawing and Documents.
- Maintenance Procedure Library management.
- Maintenance Planning configuration and management in ERP
- Maintenance Procedure configuration (Task Lists) in ERPs
- Notification and Work orders management in ERP
- Accountability and management of ERP bulk data management Tools.
- Inventory management assessment including review of spare parts.
- Engaging with Maintenance Work planners, preparers, schedulers, and Executioners
- Improve ERP data Quality based on the Feedback from above workflow.
- Extraction of maintenance data and subsequent analysis using MS office or other analytical Tools
- Create/Develop Standard Work Instructions/Standard ways of working for assigned processes viz. Z6 Process, EPBLP-R&M Process and other assigned processes etc.,
- Support Data improvement projects which may include data cleanse, data mining, benchmarking, reporting projects and track evidence as per Site Reference Documents.
- Assist the Team Leads to develop, maintain, and manage the Site Reference Document. Communicate with the site or locations, to know who about key contacts Identify who are the site or location stakeholders and understand their roles and responsibilities and their interoperability’s, ERPs (SAP/MAXIMO/PACER etc.) and processes migrated to the Shell Business Operations. Regularly report progress of work to site or location direct contacts as Requestors and Approvers.
- Assist the Team Leads in responding to inquiries related to the data and its functionality or use in a technical support function; including training site staff in ERPs or use of Request Tools, running pilot tests and demonstrations, increasing awareness of ERP functionality This Technical Support function includes supporting Team Leads and other staff on migration efforts.
- Usage of KPI Tools to record and Measure Process and resource utilization and efficiency. Using Other Operational Tools in the Process to fulfill the intended purpose of the Tool.
- Managing stakeholders/ representatives of various operating units through effective communication and identifying & resolving the bottlenecks for data analysis, maintaining issue logs and use the same in implementing changes/improvements in the process.

What do we need from you?
- Education: University Degree in Engineering.
- Experience: At least 7 years of industrial experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals industry.
- Plant Maintenance: Experience in Plant Maintenance within oil & gas and petrochemical complexes, specifically as an engineering user of CMMS and EDMS.
- Engineering and Analysis: Experience in equipment failure analysis, troubleshooting, decision-making, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Safety, Criticality and Risk Assessment, Ishikawa Diagrams, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Total Quality Management, and Hazard Analysis.
- Safety: Knowledge of Safety Critical Element management processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in SAP/MAXIMO/PACER Plant maintenance and Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Excel, is highly desirable.
- Additional Skills: Experience with the SAP PM module and its links with the MM module is advantageous.
- Technical Data Management: Experience in managing technical data and documents, including relevant processes and tools.
