Amazon is hiring for Accounts Payable team for APAC region as a Financial Analyst and Program Manager to supports the Retail, Digital and Corporate payee processes. Amazon businesses are growing and expanding at a rapid pace resulting in a dynamic work environment with many opportunities.
This position is the front line of our program driving global improvements and initiatives within Accounts Payable FinOps Services procure to pay processes; managing projects and collaborating with system and business owners globally to drive end-to-end improvements and visibility to payments process. An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment is critical to this role. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner, and will have the ability to efficiently manage various high-priority and visible projects. The successful candidate will support analysis, improvement, and creation of management information metrics and dashboards.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-starter and will willfully and diligently perform the following responsibilities on a consistent basis with little or no direction from management:
• Lead GST-related projects for India, focusing on implementations planned for 2025 and 2026. Spearhead the program management of India's GST projects slated for 2025 and 2026.
• Analyze and optimize Accounts Payable processes in alignment with GST requirements
• Ensure compliance with evolving GST regulations and other financial laws in the APAC region
• Drive technological and operational enhancements across APAC and India regions
• Provide expert analysis and recommendations on GST impact on AP processes
• Oversee change management and training programs related to new GST implementations
• Manage program accountability to deliver on expected targets (quality, compliance, cost, return on investment).
• Develop business requirements for system improvements to support Amazon’s growth and strategic business design.
• Ability to aggregate information to generate compelling stories representing the user experience to influence and drive organizational change.
• Maintain end to end responsibility of key AP process(es) and work with technology teams to understand, measure and improve support systems.
A day in the life
• Maintain project plans, assigning and tracking tasks to respective teams. Locate and identify sources of data, determine the validity of the data, and analyze the variance in the data between various systems and reports. Exceptional discipline of meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects.
• Actively seek opportunities to increase agility by identifying future needs to evolve systems, processes, services and solutions to support strategic growth and development.
• Support offshore transactional teams with root cause identification, identifying appropriate remediation and execute on a project plan with appropriate level of urgency. Partner with peers to provide global solution.
- 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
