Role Description
- The Controls Testing and Assurance (CT&A) team is responsible for providing assurance testing on the design and operating effectiveness of the businesses’ control environment and adherence to applicable regulations and the Bank’s policies. CT&A develops and executes an annual, risk-based testing plan that covers the risk categories owned by Compliance & AFC, across all businesses globally.
- The role is for an VP within the data management, metrics and reporting team based out of Bangalore to support the Head of Professional Practice with all data, reporting and automation activities.

Your key responsibilities
- Managing CT&A’s data management, metrics and reporting team.
- Interacting with subject matter experts to identify, design, enhance and maintain metrics and reporting requirements for both internal and external stakeholders in an efficient and user-friendly way.
- Interacting with key stakeholders to help design and implement an intuitive and robust planning approach, ensuring all critical elements are appropriately represented and maintained/refreshed on an ongoing basis.
- Manage, associate and analyse large and complex data from multiple sources to map across differing taxonomies and identify possible issues/gaps across CT&A.
- Collaborate with various global Compliance & AFC, IT and CT&A teams to source and connect key data points in the support of reporting and planning CT&A requirements.
- Oversight of CT&A central processes (i.e., records management, Training Needs Analysis).
- Actively support the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of ahigh-performance culture.
- Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computers/Mathematics/statistics
- 12-15 years’ experience with data analysis and/or data mining. Experience and knowledge in banking and finance is key
- Understanding of structured and unstructured data, Data Visualization, Data Management, Data Quality Assurance and Data logic.
- Understanding of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies, and measurement / analytics of such
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Access, power point etc.)
- Experience in Big Data Technologies, SAS, SQL, Power BI, Tableau and VBA is required.
- Exposure in R, Python is a plus
- Experience in Compliance Testing or Internal/External Audit/Surveillance is an advantage.
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers and business leaders.
- Ability to evaluate and interpret information and reach logical fact-based conclusions.
- Proven management experience across complex global matrices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive.
- Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized and thought leadership with a passion for improvement.
- Good presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
- Proven experience interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders.
