Lead, Software Engineer

We are looking Lead- Front end who should be passionate about software development and technology, have demonstrable technical and problem-solving skills. The candidate will show a clear understanding of development trends and a broad understanding of development paradigms. They will have excellent organizational skills, good knowledge of the full software development life cycle Angular processes.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 7+ Years of Relevant Experience 
• Client-side tools & frameworks: AJAX, JQuery, Angular, D3

• Java/J2EE 1.5: Servlets, JSP, JMS, JPA, JDBC (7+ years)
• Spring 2.5+ (4+ years)
• Object-oriented software design patterns
• Release cycle of modern, Java-based web applications
• Developing web services: REST, SOAP, WSDL, Apache CXF, Apache Axis

Have experience in:

• Client-side tools & frameworks: AJAX, JQuery, Angular, D3
• Agile/Scrum Software development methodologies (2 years+)
• Unix/Linux environments
• Linux Shell scripting (2+ years)
• Configuration Management tools: Redmine/Bugzilla, Jenkins/Hudson, Maven experience
• Version Control: SVN, Git, Mercurial
• Working with continuous integration environments
• Any IDE

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Oracle 10g + 11g,
• PL/SQL  (4+ years)
• Message Queueing: Apache ActiveMQ, HornetQ

• XML processing & XSLT, SAX & DOM   

What will you be doing in this role?

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.
• Review other code to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Defines architecture of software solution.
• Suggests alternative methodologies or techniques to achieving desired results.
• Develops and maintains understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery methodology.
• Reviews and revises new procedures as needed for the continuing development of high-quality systems.
• Maintains knowledge of technical advances and evaluates new hardware / software for company use.
• Follows departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Works closely with higher-level engineers to increase functional knowledge.
• Automate tests and unit tests all assigned applications.
• Participates as a team member on various engineering projects.
• Writes application technical documentation.

About the Team 

Cortellis is a suite of Life Science intelligence solutions.

It has multiple products under it that power the life sciences innovation, supporting the entire drug and device development life cycle. We have 4 squads each consists of Developers, Testers, Lead and Scrum Master.

All squads work on one or multiple product of the Cortellis suite (group of application/product).
