Lead Software Engineer

This role focuses on designing and guiding scalable, high-performance Python-based optimization solutions to address complex business problems. The architect, along with other team members, works closely with the PMG team to translate business needs into reliable, maintainable, and scalable planogram optimization solutions, while contributing to technical direction and best practices across the platform.

• Python-based optimization services
• Constraint-driven optimization systems
• Microservices architecture
• Close collaboration with Product and QA teams

• Contribute to the design and evolution of scalable optimization platforms.
• Translate business and product requirements into practical system designs and optimization approaches.
• Implement and enhance optimization algorithms, including:
  • Heuristics
  • Simulated Annealing
  • Rule-based systems
• Ensure solutions are efficient, maintainable, and scalable for large datasets.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Python developers and engineering teams.
• Work closely with Product Managers to align technical solutions with functional requirements.
• Help improve solution quality, scalability, and delivery reliability.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure alignment with agreed standards and best practices.

• Strong hands-on experience in Python, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience working with optimization algorithms, particularly constraint-driven approaches such as:
  • Heuristics
  • Simulated Annealing
  • Rule-based systems
• Ability to break down business problems and implement scalable technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and QA teams.
• Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to different audiences
