Lead Software Engineer - Typescript & NestJS

Scope:

• Takes full ownership of backend services from design through production operation and user support.

  
  

• Drives a strong DevOps and operational mindset, ensuring services are reliable, observable, secure, and cost-effective.

  
  

• Balances feature delivery with service stability, maintainability, and long-term quality.

  
  

• Understands the impact of owned services on dependent teams, platforms, and end users.

  
  

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, deploy, and operate production backend services end to end.

  
  

• Own availability, performance, security, and operational health of services.

  
  

• Improve observability, automation, and resilience to reduce operational overhead.

  
  

• Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.

  
  

• Engage with users and stakeholders, communicate clearly during incidents and changes, and incorporate feedback into service improvements.

  
  

What we are looking for:

• 7 to 10 years of overall software engineering experience.

  
  

• Senior or lead software engineer with strong backend ownership mindset.

  
  

• Strong NestJS and TypeScript backend experience, with emphasis on clean, maintainable code.

  
  

• Solid understanding of MongoDB fundamentals, including data modeling and query optimization.

  
  

• Strong focus on clean code, testing practices, and code quality standards.

  
  

• Demonstrated ownership of production systems, including reliability and operational responsibility.

  
  

• Hands-on experience delivering and supporting backend services in production environments.

  
  

• Nice to have experience with Azure cloud services, including Logic Apps and CI/CD pipelines.

  
  

• Exposure to observability, monitoring, and reliability practices for backend systems.
