 Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Manager Accounting to join our GLBL BusSvcs Tax-Bangalore -Global Finance Services Division.


The incumbent would drive tax operations and compliance and reporting function combining tax knowledge with necessary automation, to streamline global tax compliances


The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, Whitefield Office


What you will do:


  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax & Technology Accountant with 6–8+ years of experience in direct and indirect taxation, core accounting, and a strong flair for technology-driven simplification and automation.
  • This role will support the Global Tax Operations CoE by driving accurate compliance, improving tax processes, and enhancing efficiency through the use of modern digital tools (Python, Alteryx, Macros, Power BI, Power Apps, etc.). The ideal candidate combines deep technical tax knowledge with hands-on experience in technology-enabled process transformation.

Key Responsibilities


Data Management & Process Excellence


  • Extract, validate, and interpret large volumes of tax and accounting data from ERP and tax systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and governance in all tax records and reports.
  • Drive process standardization within the CoE following best practices highlighted in internal CoE documentation such as Job Description. [Job Description | Excel]

Automation, Analytics & Digital Transformation


  • Build and deploy automation solutions using:
  • Python for data extraction, validation, reconciliations, and report automation
  • Alteryx for workflow-based process automation
  • Excel Macros/VBA for repetitive process simplification
  • Power BI dashboards for operational KPIs, tax analytics, reconciliations
  • Power Apps for workflow, approval, and data-collection process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance and reporting efficiency through technology—aligning with the automation focus of the Company

Cross-functional Collaboration


  • Work closely with global tax teams, RTR/Controllership, Legal Entity Managers
  • Engage in cross-border process improvements and support global transformation initiatives

What you will have


  • 6–8+ years of experience in accounting, global taxation, and basic corporate tax principles.
  • Hands-on experience using tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, GVRT, GST tools) is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP/local GAAP).
  • Strong proficiency in: Python, Alteryx, Excel Macros/VBA, Power BI,Power Apps, PPT skills
  • Demonstrate ability to lead or contribute to continuous improvement and automation projects.
  • Experience handling multi-jurisdictional compliance environments.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage global stakeholders.
