Job Description

As part of our expanding data governance journey, Smiths Group is looking for an early-career MDM Analyst who is eager to learn how enterprise data supports real business outcomes.


This role is ideal for someone at the start of their career who wants hands-on exposure to master data, business processes, and SAP systems, while developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You don’t need to be an expert—we value curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn.


What you’ll do


  • Support day-to-day SAP master data activities, including data entry, validation, and basic maintenance 
  • Assist with testing SAP processes end-to-end 
  • Learn how master data fits into real business workflows 
  • Help create and maintain documentation such as process flows and test scripts 
  • Participate in identifying data quality issues 
  • Support testing cycles and issue tracking 
  • Work across operational tasks and small project initiatives 
  • Follow data standards and governance practices 

Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of experience or strong academic exposure to ERP systems or data 
  • Interest in data, finance, supply chain, or operations 
  • Willingness to learn SAP FI, SD, and MM modules 
  • Comfortable working with structured data 
  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity 
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
