Job Summary
The Installation Solutions team is a functional design group within the CTCT organization. Our Technology and Product Development division is responsible for leading the design and development of all aftermarket products, including new kits, upgrades, and product enhancements. We aim to continuously improve key high-level customer requirements for the durability, performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of aftermarket kits. Our global workforce is located in India, the USA, and New Zealand.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field, or at least 6 years of experience in design or manufacturing.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in solving complex engineering problems, providing direction and technical oversight.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
Capability to address sensitive issues, mentor and coach, and persuade others regarding new technologies, applications, or potential solutions.
Thorough understanding of engineering principles and design practices, with experience in designing and analyzing rotating and stationary components.
Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) design processes.
Knowledge of bracket design and electrical harnessing.
Experience with 3D modeling and drawing creation.
Knowledge, understanding, and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
Top Candidates Have:
Over 6 years of design, development, and analysis experience.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field.
Master's degree in engineering or a closely related field.
Familiarity with materials and processes, manufacturing methods, and testing/validation procedures for aftermarket kit/hardware.
Experience with Model-Based Definition, design engineering tools, and standards (such as Windchill, Creo, Teamcenter database, Bolted joint analysis tools and FEA analysis).
Responsibilities
• Gathering and analyzing user/client requirements to create the software requirements specification (SRS) document.
• Writing and implementing source codes of embedded systems and enhancing code samples of existing systems.
• Testing and debugging embedded system software using different tools/methods available to improve code quality and optimize system performance.
• Collaborating with other teams to provide post production support.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

• Documents each stage of the design process for audit and review purposes.
• Follows standard guidelines and best practices while carrying out DFM procedures.
• Implements DFM methodologies to standardize product designs, simplify operations, and reduce costs for certain types of manufacturing processes.
• Utilizes basic DFM tools and technologies to implement DFM methodologies.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Documents common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions.
• Troubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area.
• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems.
• Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions.
• Participates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting.
