Job Title: Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer,L1.5
Location: Bengaluru, India (Hybrid – 3 days, WFO mandatory)
Shift – 24/7 rotational shift

Job Summary:
The NOC Engineer is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the performance and reliability of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. The role involves real-time monitoring, responding to alerts, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring high availability of services.
Key Responsibilities:
·Monitor network and system alerts using NOC tools (e.g., SolarWinds, ELK.).
·Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting for alerts and escalate issues as needed.
·Coordinate with internal infrastructure, application teams and service providers for resolution of incidents.
·Track and document all issues and resolutions using ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
·Ensure uptime, performance, and security of all critical infrastructure systems.
·Provide status updates to stakeholders and participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis.
·Maintain runbooks, documentation, and NOC standard operating procedures (SOPs).
·Participate in 24x7 shift rotation and on-call support, as required.
oServer, network, backup, storge and cloud monitoring, alert acknowledgement and initial troubleshooting
oMonitoring Alert acknowledgment and initial troubleshooting.
oMonitor all servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
oQuick troubleshooter of windows server related issues and provide the first level of support either with SOPs or based on alerts
oMonitor all servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
oKnowledge in MS SQL servers, IIS, Mail transfer agents, FTP, and DNS is essential.
oEscalate tickets to L2 and L3 as appropriate, first level triaging as appropriate is mandatory.
oNetwork links monitoring and following up with providers for fault resolution.
oAlerting the team and project owners of any alerts.
oKnowledge in service now ticketing systems and ITIL process.
oUnderstanding of patching and good server patching experience.
oLiaise with third party vendors for any OS issues.
oCoordinate with ISP/Customers for link issues
oNetwork devices monitoring and initial checks
oKnowledge on network fundamentals.
oCertified in Microsoft technologies preferred
oDegree in Computers preferred (Preferably Engineering degree holders).
oGood communication (Verbal and Written) skills which helps in the smooth interaction with users.
oGood team player and able to follow team policies and processes.
oKnowledge in Cloud services like Amazon, Windows Azure, VMWare is needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
·2+ years’ experience in a NOC or technical support environment.
·Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF).
·Familiarity with monitoring tools and network troubleshooting techniques.
·Experience with ticketing and incident management tools.
·Strong analytical and communication skills.
·Ability to work in a 24x7 environment and handle pressure situations calmly.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
·Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
·Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
·Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
·Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
