PDP216 - Database Developer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases with a primary focus on PostgreSQL and secondary support for Microsoft SQL Server.

  
  

• Design and maintain data models that support application and business requirements.

  
  

• Participate in database deployments, version control, and change management processes.

  
  

• Document database designs, standards, and operational procedures.

  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL database concepts.

  
  

• Fundamental understanding of SQL (queries, joins, subqueries, indexing basics) and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server concepts and tools.

  
  

• Understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.

  
  

• Ability to understand application data requirements and translate them into database objects.

  
  

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and senior database professionals.

  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.

  
  

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
