Job Description

QMS Strategy


Align to RO-IN, PS Q strategy and Propose, Execute the strategy for achieving Zero Defect for the respective PS plants based on internal and customer expectation / requirements by ensuring QMS across functions (Value chain), problem solving and reliability incl. RPP, IDC, EDC & Shainin savings.


Deployment of quality objectives for value stream and as lead plant. Fulfilment of Q targets


Customer Quality and Relationship management


Establish & supervise regular interactions on progress of Q measures w.r.t customer quality topics (requirements, claim management etc.) with mapped management levels at suppliers & customers


Zero product liability cases


Escalation Management


Authorize and escalate quality concerns / risks to leadership team (as per escalation matrix) to seek appropriate management interventions / decisions.


On time management of crisis / escalations


Quality conformance


Act as Product Safety and Conformity Representative (PSCR) for the plant


Zero product Liability cases


Reviews and audit


Plan and supervise annual quality reviews and reporting to PS/QMM-IN, and in BVS-Q & International Production Network to drive organization mandates w.r.t RB Norms, customer requirements, ISO and IATF standards.


Oversee Product, Process and System internal annual audit plan and specific process to achieve operational excellence. Assess and approve Quality gates for new product releases to ensure safe launch.


QMS adherence as per process landscape. No Major NC

Quality Lab Management


Oversee investments and upkeep of the QM laboratories (in house and extended workbench) with the necessary calibrations & certifications to ensure all time availability and achieve per-defined performance levels.

Foresee the quality management and digitization competency requirements within the function based on current and future business trends and direct employee capability development accordingly.

Qualifications

Educational


Bachelors degree in engineering in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or Industrial engineering


Master degree in operations / quality (Desirable) 


Certification on internal auditing (Desirable)


TP2 candidates also can apply


Experience


15 plus years of relevant professional experience (preferably in quality and/or manufacturing), leadership experience preferable


Experience in an international environment, experience in handling OEMs, leading teams.


Knowledge


Proficient in Manufacturing process, Value chain and Quality management system & methods


Competent in topics related to Product liability, Compliance


Competent on the latest industry trends viz. I4.0, Problem solving techniques


Competent in customer specific, IATF and AIAG Q requirements


Functional skills


Proficient in problem solving methods (8D, Shainin, 6 Sigma, KT analysis etc.) & execution


Proficient in interpersonal, networking, Persuasive skills, Keen eye for detail, escalation management 


Proficient in risk identification and mitigation


Q mindset drive (Organization change management)
