Location: This is a fully remote position, open to candidates residing anywhere in India.

Role in nutshell:

AsaPrincipalEngineer, youwillbethetechnicalcornerstoneofourengineering organisation-combiningdeephands-onexpertisewitharchitecturalvisionandculturalleadership. Youwill solvethehardesttechnicalproblems, guidesystemevolutionacrossproducts, andelevate engineeringexcellencethroughmentorship, innovation, andprocessdiscipline.

Youʼllbethego-topersonforcomplextechnicalchallenges, influencinghowwedesign, build, andscalesoftwareacrossteams. Youʼllworkshoulder-to-shoulderwithengineers, architects, andproductleaders-notfromadistance, butbywritingcode, conductingdeepdesignreviews, andbuildingframeworksthatoutlast individualprojects.
 

Desired experience:

• 10+yearsofprofessionalsoftwareengineeringexperience, withaproventrackrecord inhands-onsystemdesignanddeliveryatscale.
• Expert inJavaScript/TypeScript, andstrongexperience inNode.jsorPythonorRubyfor backenddevelopment.
• ProficiencywithReactforfront-end; SQL/NoSQLdatabasesfordatamodeling.
• Deepunderstandingofdistributedsystems, event-drivenarchitectures, caching, and performanceoptimization.
• Experience incloud-nativearchitectures(AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Provenabilitytomentor, influence, andleadwithoutauthorityacrossmultiplesquads.
• Exceptionalproblem-solving, communication, andstakeholdermanagementskills.

PreferredPlus:

• ExperiencedrivingFinOps(cloudcostoptimization, cost-per-featuremetrics).

What will you do?

TechnicalLeadership:

• Serveasthego-totechnicalexpertforsolvingcomplexdesignandscalabilitychallenges acrosssquads(TM, TRA, LCA, etc.).
• Architectand implementhigh-performance, observable, andresilientsystems, ensuring scalability, costefficiency, andmaintainability.
• Lead initiativestoreducetechnicaldebt, improvemodularity, andmodernizelegacy components.
• Establishplatformandframeworkthinking-advocatereusability, consistency, and extensibilityacrossteams.
• Championperformanceengineeringpractices: benchmarking, ratelimiting, instrumentation, loadtesting, andcontinuousperformancereview.

Innovation&CapabilityExpansion:

• Identifyanddriveinnovationtracks-fromadoptingnewtechnologiestobuilding frameworksthatacceleratedevelopervelocity.
• Evaluateemergingtechnologies(e.g., ClickHouse, KafkaStreams, serverless, event-driven architectures)andguideadoptionbasedondata, nothype.
• Proactively improvesystemdesignprocesses, introducingautomation, CI/CDoptimization, andproductionreadinessframeworks.
• Driveexperimentationculture-encourageprototypingandvalidationofnew ideasthat improvedeveloperorcustomerexperience.

Architectural&PlatformThinking:

• Designandevolvecross-cuttingarchitecturalblueprints-ensuringcohesionbetweenfeature squadsandplatformfoundations.
• Ownend-to-endarchitecturaldecisions(documentedviaArchitectureDecisionRecord- ADRs/RequestforComments-RFCs)andensuretechnical integrityovertime.
• Leadthedefinitionofreferencearchitecturesandensuretheirpracticaladoptionthrough mentorshipandexample.
• Balanceshort-termdeliverygoalswithlong-termscalabilityandmaintainability-making pragmatic, well-communicatedtrade-offs.
