Salesforce Engineer

Project description A Salesforce Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining solutions on the Salesforce platform. They work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient Salesforce implementations. Projects typically include CRM enhancements, automation, integrations with third‑party systems, Salesforce Cloud implementations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.), and migration from legacy systems. Responsibilities Salesforce Development Design and develop scalable solutions using Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC). Build and customize business automation using Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Approval Processes. Implement UI components and dynamic interfaces using LWC. Integrations Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.), or platform events. Manage authentication flows (OAuth 2.0, connected apps). Data Management Handle data migrations using Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, and ETL tools. Ensure data integrity, deduplication, and data quality best practices. Deployment & DevOps Use CI/CD tools such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset. Manage deployments across Salesforce environments (sandboxes → production). Collaboration & Documentation Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to refine requirements. Create technical documentation (design docs, deployment notes, API specs). Participate in code reviews and follow Salesforce coding standards. System Maintenance Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support production. Stay updated with new Salesforce releases and features. Skills Must have Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC). Hands‑on experience with Salesforce configuration (Flows, Objects, Page Layouts). Experience with Sales Cloud / Service Cloud. Knowledge of Salesforce APIs and integration patterns. Understanding of Salesforce security model (roles, profiles, sharing rules). Experience with Git and CI/CD tools. Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. Nice to have Advanced certifications: Platform Developer II Salesforce Integration Architect Salesforce Application Architect Experience with: Experience Cloud Marketing Cloud Service Cloud Voice CPQ (Configure Price Quote) MuleSoft or other middleware tools Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks besides LWC (e.g., React, Node.js). Experience in test automation (Selenium, Provar, Apex Test classes).
