Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test cases. Familiarity with SQL and capital markets is advantageous, and the candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment and within a global team.
Software Requirements:
- Proficient in Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and the ability to write complex queries.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and its implementation in QA processes.
- Understanding of various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough regression testing and verify system functionalities post-implementation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements related to quality assurance practices.
- Document and report testing progress, issues, and results to stakeholders.
Category-wise Technical Skills:
- Testing Tools:Proficiency with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Database Skills:Strong SQL skills for writing queries to validate data integrity and accuracy.
- Programming Skills:Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for developing automated test scripts.
- Methodologies:Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Capital Markets Knowledge:Understanding of capital markets and financial instruments is a plus.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance.
- Proven track record of translating business requirements into test cases and executing them effectively.
- Experience working in a global team and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Review project requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test cases.
- Execute manual and automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide ongoing feedback on application performance and usability based on testing results.
- Participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
