Senior Software Engineer - Data Architect

We are seeking a Data Architect to join our Consumer Canvas team. Consumer Canvas is an exciting product that provides new and richer ways for our clients to reach advanced audiences and conduct deep market research. This role is pivotal in shaping the data strategy behind Consumer Canvas, enabling scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions that directly impact client insights and product growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Data Clean Rooms, data modeling, and handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). They will oversee the end-to-end architecture of our Canvas systems, including the ingestion pipeline, identity spine creation, and delivery/enrichment/activation components. You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and Product specialists to take Consumer Canvas to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the Consumer Canvas product.
• Interact with a multi-disciplinary team to clarify, analyze, and assess requirements.
• Work with Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is effective for delivering our business goals.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary development team, including data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, and solutions engineers to build and maintain the Consumer Canvas product.
• Define and oversee technical governance and secure handling of PII data.
• Work independently and collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
• Actively participate in the design, development, and testing of the product.

5+ years in data architecture or related roles preferred.

Data Platforms & Tools:

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake data processing environments, especially Snowflake Data Clean Rooms.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks data processing environments.
• Familiarity with data engineering Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Experience with Big Data technologies and patterns.

Programming & Modeling:

• Expert SQL experience.
• Data modeling and data design.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Pyspark, Jupyter Notebooks, and Python environment controllers (Poetry, PipEnv).
• Hands-on experience with Spark.

Governance & Security:

• Experience handling PII data and managing governance of such data.

DevOps & CI/CD:

• Hands-on experience with any of these code versioning tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, etc.).

Communication & Collaboration:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team.
• Problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Additional Valuable Skills:

• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD tools and automation processes (Azure DevOps, GitHub, BitBucket).
• Knowledge of containers and their environments (Docker, Podman, Docker-Compose, Kubernetes, Minikube, Kind, etc.).
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services and Azure Data Factory.
