Your new role – challenging and future-oriented: HVDC/FACTS Service Engineer.
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds - The candidate shall be responsible for the below listed points:
Responsibility:
- Testing of software and hardware for control & protection for HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard systems.
- Testing of primary electrical equipment in HV AC Switchyards.
- Testing and programming of numerical protection relays (preferably Siemens SIPROTEC family)
- Performing factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests as per procedure for HVDC/FACTS C&P systems at factory and site
- Troubleshooting and technical service support at customer sites for HVDC & FACTS.
- Updating of engineering documentation/drawings upon completion of factory and site tests
- Job would involve extensive travelling to customer project sites and customer interaction
- keen interest in software programming and electronic circuitry
- Manage, develop, and ensure profitability of HVDC & FACTS spares business
- Responsible to ensure all business KPI's are met and the services to the customer are maintained in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Respond to customer enquiry by understanding the technical requirement prepare the offer to cater the customer requirement technically and commercially
- Handling complete offer management & Order execution for spare parts business and regular follow ups with vendors, taking care of import shipments and ensure timely delivery of materials to customer sites
- Attending customer meetings to discuss on various proposals, understanding technical issues and suggest possible solutions by aligning with field service.
- Regular meetings with Sales team to discuss ongoing offers and develop in business opportunities
- Driving initiatives to expand the service business and capture new avenues
- QMS and EHS coordinator for HDVC and FACTS services portfolio
- Proficient in overseeing project activities from conceptualization to execution including technical specifications, stage inspections, progress monitoring, vendor management and manpower planning.
- Experience in preparing offers and proposal for HVDC & FACTS products, managing material movement and supervising site operations.
- Prepare cost optimized technical solutions collaborating with relevant stake holders while meeting customer expectations.
- Preparation of techno commercial offers and proactive follow-up with regions/customers for technical & commercial closure.
- Timely submission of clarifications/offer meeting customer deadlines while complying to internal processes.
Qualification & Skills:
- B.E / B. Tech in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics with 4 to 8 years of experience.
- Good knowledge in testing of software and hardware for control & protection for HVDC/FACTS/AC Switchyard systems.
- Experience on HVDC/FACTS system will be an advantage.
- Good Knowledge in testing and programming of numerical protection relays
- Must be technically sound to face Customer directly.
- Good communication skills.
- Good team lead, Multitasking & should be able to work & perform under time pressure
- Very good technical know-how on HVDC & FACTS technologies.
- Clear understanding of entire Offer – Testing & Commissioning process of HVDC & FACTS Substation.
- A very good Team Player with high commitment/willingness to go beyond extra mile.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel & Power Points and working knowledge of MS office tools like MS Projects, Power BI etc. added advantage.
- Extraordinary Intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, presentation & negotiation skills with foreign language expertise will be an added advantage.
