Amazon Aurora team is looking for an engineer to work and collaborate with other engineers, database engineers (DBEs), stakeholders and build the high quality distributed databases for cloud.
An ideal candidate for this position will be an engineer who has extensive experience working in relational database engine internals, experience with PostgreSQL development and knowledge of distributed database.

Amazon Aurora team with in AWS organisation builds databases for cloud environments. The team is spread across the world and works in harmony to create solutions that solves customer’s real world problems. The team is at the centre of building a highly distributed and scalable database for cloud and work with Product Management, DBEs and other engineers to build the high quality product. With AWS, off course the benefit on working on big scale projects, having all sides of product development covered and making a big impact come automatically. - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 4+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience, C or C++ preferred
- 1+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Knowledge and experience of working for database internals
- PostgreSQL internals knowledge and experience
