Key Responsibilities
- Lead the supply chain engagement in the Collaborative Engineering Center
- Work with Senior executives in Supply chain, Operations & Engineering to gain alignment on project and supplier selection
- Drive the cross functional team to achieve project milestones & development of new technology in partnership with supplier partners
- Develops, aligns, and implements commodity strategies.
- Negotiates and manages agreements with suppliers that provides the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
- Engage with PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.
- Actively manage Supplier relationship and positively influencing the Business Goals and Objectives.
- Evaluate Suppliers for Introduction and/or Disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.
- Drive the culture of Speed, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), Quality, Service, Cost and Innovation
- Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.
- Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks, & the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
- Develops high level cost reduction opportunities and work with cross functional teams in influencing & implementing the same.
- Align suppliers and Applied technology roadmaps through understanding of market trends, future requirements, and suppliers’ technology value proposition.
- Develop and maintain Scorecard for suppliers and lead business reviews with Applied and Supplier Executives
- Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and drives supplier to close gaps to meet objectives
Minimum Qualifications
Educational: Bachelor/Master’s in Mechanical / Electrical / Production/ Industrial Engineering or any other stream.
Years of Exp: 15+ yrs or more in Supply Chain management in the Engineering / Manufacturing Industry.

Functional Knowledge
- Good knowledge of commercial contracts.
- Good knowledge of PCBA/ Electrical OEM component is an added advantage.

- PowerPoint and presentation skills.
- Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution
