Technical Writer - Aerospace

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile writer with strong technical and research acumen to join our team at Digantara. This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between drafting highly technical proposals and conducting preliminary research on a wide array of topics. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to generate comprehensive content, from detailed technical documents to in-depth research essays, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and engagement across all projects.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a well-rounded writer with the ability to perform in-depth research and produce high-quality written content on a wide array of relevant topics. The candidate should have experience in technical writing and proposal development and the capability to handle diverse writing tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analyses of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotes (RFQ) to accurately understand and address the specific requirements, ensuring the development of effective and tailored responses for various verticals including Government and Defense grant applications, contracts, and awards.
• Research and analyze information to support proposal development and manage the proposal process from start to finish, including drafting, editing, proofreading, and submitting proposals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposal content meets requirements, aligns with company goals, and is well-written, concise, and persuasive.
• Performing independent research to gain a deep understanding of the Defense-focused Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sector while continuously staying abreast of the latest developments and trends within the industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience writing technical proposals for government and defense contracts in the technology sector.
• Familiarity with the specific requirements and formats of the Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotes (RFQ).
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate in a way that is engaging and easily understandable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written communication skills in English, demonstrate a high level of fluency, and have impeccable grammar.
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualities:

• Prior experience in Government Consultancy is preferred.
• Knowledge of the defense and space ecosystem in India.
• Awareness of regulatory guidelines in government and defense contracting.
• Experience with international proposals (US, UK & Europe).
