The Proxy Team is responsible for managing routine voting activities and coordinating with the Stewardship Team and Investment Desk for contentious meetings. This role involves ensuring compliance, highlighting financial impacts, and managing proxy documentation and account mandates.
Job Summary
As an Operational Proxy Analyst within the Trading Services team, you will manage and facilitate the voting process for investment accounts. Your role will involve coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely submission of vote instructions, account management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
• Monitoring meeting queues via Vendor Portal for Upcoming Meetings.
• Reach out to Investment Stewardship and Portfolio managers to seek votes on upcoming meetings and apply votes accordingly.
• Manage Account Opening, Closing and Reconciliations activities.
• Monitor the Power of Attorney (POA) tracking & filing process
• Manage reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders
• Perform ballot reconciliation process and provide rationale for rejected Ballots.
• Assist in external / internal audit.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong Academics background with minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Investment products.
- Prior experience on corporate actions and Proxy Voting.
- Must be highly organized and able to work to tight deadlines
- Client Focused & having Risk awareness
- Needs excellent attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism / initiative
- Knowledge about the securities market and different financial products
- Excellent MS skills ideally to macro level, - Fluent English (Verbal and Written)
- Knowledge of market data providers
