Background
Registered in Iraq since 2011 with a presence in Erbil and Baghdad, iMMAP Inc. is implementing a project partnership with UNESCO aiming at operating, maintaining, training, and further developing the Education Management Information System (EMIS) for the Ministry of Education in Federal Iraq.
Description of Duties
Part of the EMIS project team and under the management of the Senior Software Engineer, the Application Administrator will manage and update system settings, parameters, and lookup tables to align with the Ministry of Education’s requirements. To this end, he/she will coordinate closely with MoE focal points and the Senior Software Engineer through the Happy Fox help desk to ensure the EMIS reflects current educational policies and academic structures. They will monitor application performance, manage system configurations, and handle user access controls. They will ensure that all changes and updates are synchronized across the EMIS and coordinate closely with the Learning Officer to ensure these are correctly documented.
Requirements
Education
University degree in Information Technology, mathematics, statistics, computer Sciences or related area.
Experience
Mastery of the principles of data handling and processing.
Minimum of 5 years administering and supporting enterprise applications and solutions. Adequate knowledge of operational tasks related to Education; like school administration, student records, etc…. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions while anticipating and mitigating risks. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment. Has M.S degree in a related field with major or specialized courses in Business Administration, or Information Systems Management, or related field of study.
