Background
Registered in Iraq since 2011 with a presence in Erbil and Baghdad, iMMAP Inc. is implementing a project partnership with UNESCO aiming at operating, maintaining, training, and further developing the Education Management Information System (EMIS) for the Ministry of Education in Federal Iraq.
Description of Duties
Part of the EMIS project team and managed by the Project Manager, the Trainer and Field Support Engineer will be critical to ensuring the capacity development of the selected MoE staff to undertake key EMIS maintenance and management tasks. He/she will be responsible for assessing the technical capacity of selected MoE focal points and developing a comprehensive training schedule in collaboration with UNESCO and the MoE. He/she will provide on-site and remote technical support to MoE staff, helping resolve issues related to EMIS usage. He/she will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of training programs aimed at enabling MoE staff to manage and maintain the EMIS system. The Trainer will coordinate with the project team to review and refine classroom training materials, ensuring they are aligned with feedback and meet the needs of MoE and GDoE staff. The Trainer and Field Support Engineer will provide guidance and expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the EMIS system and conduct regular follow-ups and on-the-job training to ensure continuous capacity building of the selected MoE staff. He/she will ensure the effectiveness of EMIS training through coordination with UNESCO, MoE, and GDoE to collect feedback, conduct quality assurance, and adjust the training implementation plan and methodology accordingly. THe/she will collect and analyze feedback from training participants and user error tickets to identify areas for improvement in training content and delivery. They will assist in monitoring EMIS updates.
Requirements
Education
University degree in Information Technology, mathematics, statistics, computer sciences or related area.
Experience
Mastery of the principles of data handling and processing and capacity building.
Minimum of 5 years experiences in the field of training. Knowledge of software engineering tools. Knowledge and experience in document control. Years’ experience in web development.
