Clinical Research Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Description and Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Clinical Research Quality Assurance Specialist is a staff member of the Office of Scientific Affairs and Research, nd therefore expected to work collaboratively with other office staff members to achieve office mandates and goals.
onitoring, auditing and inspection:
- Performs monitoring, auditing and inspection duties related to investigator initiated clinical studies and clinical trials.
- Plans and conducts internal audits for research activities.
- Works with Research Teams to prepare for external sponsor audits and IRB/Regulatory authorities inspections.
- Prepares monthly compliance reports to be submitted to the direct supervisor.
Developing Policies and Procedures:
- Developing and writing policies and procedures that help to organize and improve the work efficiency at Office of Scientific Affairs and Research (OSAR).
- Developing and writing policies and procedures that organize research at KHCC in terms of activities, compliance and excellence.
Continuous Improvement:
- Defines and identifies areas of deficiency in quality of research
- Assists in the development and the improvement process of the office operations.
- Assists in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
- Defines Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various OSAR units’ operations and creates a method for its measurement.
Provides periodic reports of work activities as requested by the direct supervisor. Follows KHCC policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, including adherence to the national regulations and workplace Human Subject Protection guidelines and any other applicable laws and regulations. Performs other functions, duties or tasks as requested by the Chief Scientific Officer.

Education & Professional Experience
Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, or other health-related fields. Master degree is preferred. 5 years of experience in clinical research (oncology research is preferred), including 3 years of experience in clinical research quality assurance Professional certification is a plus, such as; but not limited to, Six Sigma, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Clinical Research Associate (CRA), or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC). Knowledge in national, regional, and international regulations that govern the conduct of clinical research Excellent command of English and communication skills is a must
