MASE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Quality Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting our Integrated Management System (IMS) and driving compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. The QHSE Coordinator will be hired at IC4 designation level and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental regulations, as well as the development and implementation of internal processes and systems to periodically audit and report on QHSE performance. The QHSE Coordinator will also be required to implement training and capacity building programs to ensure that the MASE Team is up to date on the latest QHSE standards and practices.
You will report to the QHSE Lead.
QHSE Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining IMS in line with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 requirements.
- Collaborate in preparing manuals, policies, procedures, and templates for QHSE management.
- Support document control processes, ensuring proper version control and distribution.
- Assist the QHSE Lead in aligning systems with client-specific standards such as IFC Performance Standards.
- Participate in audits (internal and external) to monitor compliance with IMS requirements.
- Help prepare for and support the organization during ISO certification audits.
- Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics across all plants.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Assist in identifying, documenting, and mitigating environmental aspects and impacts.
- Deliver QHSE-related training sessions to MASE's power services teams on key QHSE topics, including activity-specific hazard identification, proper interpretation and application of method statements and risk assessments, safe work practices, emergency preparedness.
- Promote a safety culture by actively participating in toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
- Support incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Act as a liaison between site teams and the QHSE department to ensure consistent implementation of standards.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and address compliance-related queries.
- Maintain communication with certification bodies and regulatory authorities as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: Certification in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 implementation and/or auditing is preferred. NEBOSH IGC or equivalent (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in QHSE roles, preferably in the renewable energy or power generation sector. Experience with IFC performance standards is a strong advantage.
