Senior Welding / NDT Inspector (2024-052) 

We are looking for a Senior Welding / NDT Inspector with the following details :

Location : Sohar, OMAN

Duration : 12 months (renewable)

Work status : Residential, 5-6 days per week

Start Date : Q1 2025 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND

• Professional Experience (years): min 15 years in NDT activities
• Experience in similar position (years): mini 7 in similar role and on LNG Plant Construction
• Valid Level 3 Certificate: ASNT 9712; PCN (or equivalent) in UT, RT, MT and PT Welding Certificates: Senior CWI; CSWIP 3.2 or equivalent Languages: English mandatory

MISSIONS

• The service holder is responsible, within the LNG Bunkering Project for following-up, monitoring and supervising Welding & NDT activities carried out by the Plant & Tank Contractors and Subcontractors at Site and if at Vendors Yards as required during the Construction, and Pre-commissioning phases ensuring that his discipline’s contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by the Contractors and/or Subcontractors.
• In this respect, and to ascertain that the facilities are built as per the project requirements, the job holder, in the perimeter of his discipline, verifies and comments Contractor’s and/or Subcontractor’s drawings, NDT procedures and methodologies, NDT map, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to performed the job with the required quality level and to compete it in due time.
• He is also closely monitoring the calibration and storage of NDT equipment (Gamma-ray, UT set, MPI...)
• He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to Site Quality Lead.
• The job holder participates to routine and random inspections and audits, assists to daily / regular Construction meetings related to his discipline with Contractors and/or Subcontractors, performs QA/QC and/or HSE visits and tours as required and ensures an adequate reporting to the Site Quality Lead (areas of concerns, problems encountered in its discipline during construction and/or implementation by Contractors and/or Subcontractors).
• As a general manner, the job holder provides assistance to Company Construction team for all matters related to his discipline in accordance with instructions provided by his discipline Superintendent and is accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements
