Job Role / Responsibilities:You will be reporting to the Manager Finance, you will be leading the Payroll function of the University. You will be responsible for supervising and managing timely processing of employees’ monthly payroll and ensuring proper accounting regulations and reconciliations are followed.
Specifically, you will be responsible to;
- supervise payroll processing of Pakistan and United Kingdom review and monitor monthly payroll reconciliation and other related payment
- review and monitor monthly payroll reconciliation and other related payments
- ensure timely processing of full and final settlement of the departed employees
- manage Income Tax Related monthly and periodic activity
- work closely with the Actuarial consultant for yearly actuarial valuation of the benefits. Prepare data for the activity
- develop strategies for continuous improvement in operations; identify weaknesses and strategies to mitigate the risk
- supervise annual audits of the funds and other payroll related accounts
- coordinate with Actuaries for yearly actuarial valuation
- prepare PF/GF financial statements for management review
- assistance for external audits of the Aga Khan University and Aga Khan Hospital and Medical College Foundation.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:- CMA / ACCA / CIMA or MBA from reputable university with majors in Finance
- a minimum of 2 years working experience in a management position, hands on experience of managing payroll function will be an added advantage
- sound knowledge of overall financial systems
- excellent analytical skills
- good business acumen with ability to relate matters
- be able to multitask and think out of the box
- possess exemplary interpersonal communication and report writing skills
- able to motivate team and command respect
- proficiency in computers especially MS Office, particularly MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint tools is required
