Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineer, Business, Economics or Law.
Experience
5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation providing support to operations in comparable environment (mining or industrial sector).

Hands-on experience of SAP and Ariba preferable.

Responsibilities
Lead the sourcing process for complex categories, conducting market analysis, identifying potential suppliers, and negotiating favorable contracts.
Develop and implement category strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement value.
Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in procurement.
Manage a portfolio of critical vendors, building and maintaining strong relationships based on collaboration and trust.
Evaluate vendor performance, conduct risk assessments, and implement improvement plans.
Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Mentor junior buyers in vendor management best practices.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve procurement processes.
Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Support the Procurement Specialist in implementing technology solutions and enhancing data analytics capabilities.
Provide guidance and support to junior buyers, fostering their professional development.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement processes are aligned with business requirements.
Actively participate in cross-functional teams to support procurement projects.
