The Data Science Manager is responsible to develop and implement set of techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. The Data Science Manager will partner with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking, and hypothesis-based analysis on machine learning (ML)-based projects. The data scientist is responsible for modeling complex business problems through statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. Further, the role will support senior leadership by creating business insights, reports, and analyses to aid in the decision-making process.
Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support executive decisions and workflows with required information.
Perform large-scale experimentation and build data-driven models to answer business questions.
Proactively mine data warehouses to identify trends and patterns and generate insights for business units and senior leadership.
Perform large-scale experimentation to identify hidden relationships between variables in large datasets.
Research and implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence to make data analysis more efficient.
Apply statistical analysis and visualization techniques to various data, such as hierarchical clustering, T-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE), or principal components analysis (PCA) machine learning
Design and conduct data analyses with the highest standard of rigor and scientific accuracy; including study design, methodology, algorithms, and statistical modeling.
Work with business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics to achieve business goals.
Develop a data science strategy aligned with the overall business strategy.
Develop and manage the budget for the data science team, including resource allocation and technology investments.
Ensure the use of best practices in data collection, storage, processing, and analysis.
Oversee the development and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms.
Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Proven experience in conducting statistical analysis and building models with advanced scripting languages.
Experience leading projects that apply ML and data science to business functions
Specialization in text analytics, image recognition, graph analysis, or other specialized ML techniques, such as deep learning, is preferred.
Ability to communicate complex projects, models, and results to a diverse audience with a wide range of understanding.
Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment.
Superior presentation skills, including storytelling and other techniques to guide and inspire.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
