Database Administrator (Qatari)

The Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring proper database services such as data storage and data warehousing are maintained and functioning effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish database services (data store, data warehouse, etc.) requirements.
• Implement and manage database services solution.
• Manage databases performance and capacity.
• Define data backup and recovery requirements.
• Perform and manage backup and recovery.
• Optimize the use of databases across the company by staying current on any relevant enhancements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Desirable: CISSP, CISA or CISM certification
• Over 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of and experience in various database administration functions
• Experience in using Microsoft Office tools
• Understanding of the principles of database management
• English is required
