Position Summary:
Astron Qatar is seeking an experienced and certified Lifting Equipment Inspector to join their team. The role involves conducting inspections, testing, and certification of various lifting equipment in accordance with international standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background, be certified by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA), and possess a strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance codes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with international standards and safety regulations. Prepare detailed inspection reports and certification documentation for lifting equipment. Identify and report any non-compliance or safety risks associated with equipment usage. Provide recommendations for maintenance, repair, or replacement of equipment as necessary. Stay updated with international standards and codes relevant to lifting equipment. Collaborate with engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications for auditing purposes.
Requirements:
Hold a Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution. Certified by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) with a minimum of three LEEA certifications. Minimum of three years of experience post-third LEEA certification in lifting equipment inspection and certification. Proficient in international lifting equipment standards and codes for inspection, testing, and certification. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Diploma in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Civil, or related fields). LEEA certifications with extensive practical application in lifting equipment inspection. Knowledge of global safety standards and compliance codes (e.g., ISO, BS, EN).
