Mechanical Design Engineer

Our Client an engineering consultancy firm with a core competency in healthcare projects, with headquarters in  Germany, and regional offices in Germany and Doha. 
 

Job Description:
 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support our team during the design development and coordination of various projects, from the design stage to construction drawings and deliverables.

We are looking for 5 engineers specializing in HVAC and FF&Plumbing & Medical Gases.
 

Responsibilities:

 

• Design for the different systems of HVAC (duct sizing, thermal load calculations, and ventilation calculations).
• Design for the different mechanical systems (Plumbing, Firefighting, and Medical Gases).
• Preparing BOQ and specs for the aforementioned trades.
• BIM (Building Information Modeling) process initiation and implementation using various software such as Autodesk and Revit.
• Following up on project plans (deliverables, schedule, and resource allocations).
• Carrying out meetings with different clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in design projects.
• A healthcare background is preferable.
•  Excellent knowledge in using BIM tools (CAD & Revit ) 
•  Aware of Electromechanical systems and coordination processes.
• Excellent Communication, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills.
• Ability to present his/her work and represent the firm in meetings.
