Centralised Planning Department has an opportunity for Planning Officer based in Doha Qatar
You will play a key role for operational support in various sections of the Centralised Planning Department & Heavy Maintenance Control Center (HMCC) functionalities including preparation of AMP, work scope preparation and package printing/closure, work package execution, aircraft downtime creation and adjustments, component transactions, set-up of component data for new and leased aircraft, work package storage and logbook updating and review of back to birth traceability of components during lease return
Operational Accountabilities
Aircraft Maintenance Proqramme
- Prepare hard copy of AMP new issue of revisions prior to submission to QA/QCAA.
- Prepare electronic copies (Excel and PDF) of the AMP after approval.
- Introduce CMAs and subsequent revisions in Trax to track due dates.
- Create task cards in Trax (Requirement to create work packages)
- Review Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Illustrated parts catalogue and create list of tools, equipment and consumables required to accomplish the AMP task.
- Assist EPE-AMP in the evaluation of in-service experiences to facilitate AMP Evolution.
Fleet Planning
- Define and prepare work scope of "Line and Light Maintenance Checks" and other required work packages in accordance with AMP and other Engineering services requirement in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensure timely and seamless work package flow to and from line, base maintenance and technical records. Review all completed work package for task completion and raise discrepancy reports. Close all "Line and Light maintenance Check" Work orders in Trax.
- Develop cost effective plans for time limited component replacement keeping in view various capacity and spare availability constraints.
- Follows up on accomplishment of packages, ensure to coordinate with respective sections in technical and flight operations department the modifications and inspections performed.
Aircraft Scheduling
- Ensure airworthiness of Qatar Airways fleet, in the window of Day of Ops plus 6 Days, by ensuring all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks are planned and controlled within the approved check limits. Ensure these controls are maintained during flight schedule changes.
- Keeping in view the scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance requirements, participate in preparing plans with integrated operation control Centre operations team to facilitate schedule recovery in case of disruption and take decisions on adjustment of maintenance downtimes to reduce flight delays, revenue losses and passenger comfort.
- Work with IOC operations scheduling team to create maintenance downtimes required for unscheduled and scheduled out of phase maintenance tasks and mandatory Aircraft grounding while maintaining schedule integrity.
- Discuss, agree and disseminate revised maintenance plans with base and line maintenance teams on changes in maintenance ground times as of result of required flight schedule changes.
- Liaise with Fleet Planning for processing variations on scheduled maintenance tasks where required. Review the flight schedule system and take corrective action on maintenance related alerts.
Production Planning
- Monitor Line/Light and Heavy Maintenance shift plans for timely execution of scheduled work.
- Monitor the work progress and advice all concerned about the technical status of the aircraft undergoing maintenance.
- Inform Flight Ops and Engineering services for any completed tasks requiring feedback before final Certificate of Release to Service as requested by fleet planning.
- Support certifying staff, as focal in check control room in ensuring that all requirements of work package are met and necessary procedure for paper work completion and task deferment is followed before aircraft release to service.
- Analyze and process queries relating to work packages and modifications. Provide feedback on unaccomplished work packages to Senior Production Planning Engineer.
- To achieve the compliance of Part-145 Work package handling and also a regulatory requirement; below tasks should be accomplished
- Manage work packages prior, during and after scheduled maintenance inputs.
- Facilitate the resolution of technical queries arising during the maintenance input execution.
- Monitor and report status of closed loop parts in support shops.
- Ensure NRC and other maintenance check data update.
- Update AM PPS/TRAX systems for deferred defects and work packages.
Technical Records
- Prepare Aircraft Status Reports and Aircraft Records for Airworthiness Review Certificate renewals audits. ARC which are required to be kept on board the aircraft to demonstrate aircraft airworthiness. They are valid for 12 months and need to be renewed through audits.
- As part of regulations, monitor the ARC Due Date for each aircraft and coordinate with QAE for the audit of the records and answer to all queries raised by the auditor.
- Update Log Books in a timely manner to meet QCAA Regulations
- To meet the regulatory requirement, upon replacement of the parts on the Aircraft by certifying staff, perform removal/installation in TRAX and reset control for Life limited parts and hard time components to ensure their lives are correctly monitored and their due dates are correct.
- Download relevant aircraft documents from aircraft/engine manufacturer's portal and upload on QR network to ensure Aircraft records are updated from the time Aircraft delivery.
- Compile data for preparation of Monthly Fleet Utilization Reports to Internal and External Users Archive Aircraft Records to ensure compliance with Regulatory Requirements Ensure all data are entered accurately into the TRAX system.
- Ensure accuracy and legibility of scanned data in the archiving system Respond to queries from other departments
- Receive and review Aircraft Delivery Documents for new and used aircraft inducted in the fleet.
Technical Lease Project
- To support/facilitate a smooth Lease Return process, reworked to detail the functions and results; below tasks should be accomplished:
- Preparation of AD reports and compilation of DFP documents and forward it to lessor as part of lease return requirement.
- Compilation of OCCM parts list and review of component release tags to meet the contractual requirements. Preparation of hard time components list, review of component release tags and compilation of component change tasks cards.
- Review of open and closed concessions.
- Preparation of final statements at end of lease prior to aircraft redelivery for submission to quality assurance. Coordination of shipping records to lessor post aircraft redelivery (requirement of Lease contract).
- Support addressing queries raised by lessor during end of lease documents review process to ensure smooth redelivery process
Component Team
- Review aircraft delivery reports and subsequent shop reports for components update of Airframe, Powerplant, APU and Landing Gears with correct life related data in TRAX, in a timely and accurate manner. Review aircraft delivery reports and shop reports for components update which are hard time and life limited parts called out by the Aircraft Maintenance Program with correct life related data in TRAX in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review daily component updating performed at Line / Base Maintenance activities, with correct life related data in TRAX, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the review, build-up and maintenance of major component assembly structures (e.g. Engines, APU, landing gears)
- Communicate all component history related queries with responsible parties (e.g. Planning, Engineering, Shop, and Original Equipment Manufacturer).
- Support technical projects that have direct relevance to the component configuration.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed b the Head of the Department.

Qualifications
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
- General Knowledge of Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Environment constraints.
- Knowledge of CAME/Part-145 Regulations and functions.
- Command of English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Ms Project
