Role Overview
An established engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale building and infrastructure projects. This is a senior technical role with responsibility for design oversight, engineering assurance, and coordination across multi-disciplinary project environments. The position offers the opportunity to work across all project phases, from concept development through execution, while contributing to technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the discipline engineer responsible for delivering high-quality electrical engineering services across assigned projects

  
  

• Undertake concept development, engineering studies, detailed design, scoping, and preparation of engineering documentation in line with approved standards and procedures

  
  

• Review, verify, and sign off technical designs, specifications, and bids

  
  

• Provide timely technical input to meet project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost

  
  

• Advise and support project teams on electrical engineering matters throughout all stages of project delivery

  
  

• Plan and coordinate the activities of engineering teams providing technical services to executing departments, including review of execution strategies

  
  

• Support the discipline lead with technical assurance, standardisation, and compliance with applicable discipline standards

  
  

• Review and endorse technical deviations, waivers, and variations to approved codes, standards, and practices

  
  

• Support the implementation of applicable environmental, safety, and process-related technical policies

  
  

• Contribute to the development of engineering capability through mentoring and structured technical training initiatives

  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

  
  

• Professional engineer certification or local authority registration preferred

  
  

Experience and Skills

• Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering services on large buildings, infrastructure, and civil projects

  
  

• Strong knowledge of international engineering codes and standards relevant to electrical engineering

  
  

• Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality across multiple concurrent projects

  
  

• Experience resolving complex technical challenges and coordinating with adjacent engineering disciplines

  
  

• Proficiency in modern engineering design and analysis software

  
  

• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills

  
  

• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in both planned and fast-paced project environments

  
  

• Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
