The Senior Electrical Duty Holder (EDH) shall address all requirement of the Temporary Electrical Installation (TEI) in ensuring safety, in totally eradicating fires and irregularities attributed to Electrical, capitalizing his/her knowledge, experience, and skill with local regulations, standards, codes, norms, and best trade practices.
Develop and implement electrical safety policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a safe working environment for electrical activities, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to identify hazards and risks.
Investigate electrical incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Monitor compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards, and address non-compliance issues promptly.
Provide training and awareness programs to employees on electrical safety practices and procedures.
Collaborate with other HSE professionals and departments to integrate electrical safety considerations into overall HSE management systems.
Liaise with external regulatory agencies, contractors, and stakeholders on electrical safety matters.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to electrical safety activities, incidents, and compliance.
Continuously review and update electrical safety policies and procedures based on industry best practices and lessons learned from incidents.
Thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead electrical safety initiatives and communicate requirements to stakeholders.
Technical expertise in electrical systems, equipment, and installations to identify hazards and assess risks.
Analytical skills to conduct thorough inspections and investigations of electrical incidents and near misses.
Ability to develop and implement effective training programs to enhance electrical safety awareness and practices among employees.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
