As a Senior People Safety and Health Officer, you will be responsible to provide assistance and guidance on matters relating to Health and Safety and Fire Safety, thus championing and promoting health and safety throughout Qatar Airways Group. You will liaise manage occurrences related to QR Group Staff and Customers on Ground, track trends and report any finding as required. Oversee the implementation of Qatar Airways OHS& Fire Safety Manual and Policy across the Qatar Airways Group with the objective of making Qatar Airways Health, Safety and Fire Management System a success.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure implementation of QR OHS & Fire Safety Manual standards into everyday operations, along with any Regulatory or Aviation Health and Safety requirements that may arise.
- Assist with staff and customer incidents’ related reports to ensure that the appropriate actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
- To assist/ conduct health and safety inspections/ audits throughout Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries to help identify potential hazards in the workplace and make recommendations for controls to the appropriate department for implementation. Follow up the subsequent controls at an appropriate time to ensure implementation.
- Track relevant KPl's for safety and health and ensure appropriate action plan is implemented to achieve KPIs
- Develop Monthly reports in relation to Health and Safety trends and where appropriate present the findings to the action groups.
- Ensure the effective development and implementation of campaigns within Qatar Airways to reduce incidents and injuries to QR Group staff and passengers across the business.
- Liaise with subsidiaries where required on Health and Safety & Fire Safety concerns to ensure action is taken to ensure effective implementation of Qatar Airways Group Health and Safety Management System.
- Participate in the investigation of incidents and accidents related to QR Group Staff and Customers on Ground.
- Participate in the recommendation of changes in policies, procedures and working practices, help monitor the review and revision of H&S policies & procedures to ensure continued compliance with all legal and other relevant requirements.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum of 4 - 5 years of job-related experience.
Essential
- NEBOSH International General Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditors Course
- Fire Safety Qualifications
Preferred
- Understanding of financial principles, metrics and contracts
- Experienced in handling and processing airline service provider contracts
- Experienced in conducting hotel security assessment
