Accountant Supervisor

Accounting Operations

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Supervise and review the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Loans and Financing

• Manage the accounting and documentation of loans, including interest calculations and repayment schedules.
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions to ensure proper recording and reconciliation of loan transactions.

Tax Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ZATCA regulations, including VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax submissions.
• Prepare tax returns and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Stay updated on changes in Saudi tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary updates.

Contract Management

• Review and maintain financial aspects of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to evaluate contract-related financial obligations.
• Monitor and report on financial performance metrics related to contracts.

Valuations

• Assist in property, asset, and project valuations by providing financial data and insights.
• Analyze valuation reports and ensure proper documentation of valuation outcomes.
• Ensure alignment of valuations with applicable accounting and financial reporting standards.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi and international accounting standards (e.g.,IFRS).
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial data and documentation.

Team Supervision and Development.

• Provide guidance and training to junior accountants to ensure their professional growth and development.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance to meet departmental goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements in accounting practices.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or SOCPA are highly preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in loans, tax compliance, contracts, and valuations is required.
• Familiarity with ZATCA regulations and reporting requirements is essential.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Saudi tax laws, ZATCA regulations, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
